Tyler Feder
Tyler Feder is an illustrator and writer whose work is inspired by intersectional feminism, mental health, pop culture, food, and cats. Her artwork has been featured by Netflix, Glamour Magazine, Huff Post, ESPN and even on Mindy Kaling's instagram! She runs an Etsy store, Roaring Softly, where she sells prints and merchandise featuring her illustrations.
Tyler graduated from Northwestern University in 2011 with a B.A. in Radio/TV/Film and a certificate in Creative Writing for the Media. She completed the Writing Program at the Second City Training Center in 2013.
Tyler recently published her first solo book, Dancing at the Pity Party, a graphic memoir about her mom's death when she was 19 (She says “it's not ALL sad, don't worry”). She also illustrated Unladylike: A Field Guide to Smashing the Patriarchy and Claiming Your Space by Cristen Conger and Caroline Ervin.
Tyler currently lives and works out of a teeny apartment in Chicago with her beloved cat son, Mitzvah Bear. When she is not making art, she enjoys milky coffee, jigsaw puzzles, staring into Lake Michigan and belting show tunes to her cat.
